“My live Earthworks set up consists of two configurations. I use the DK25/L for smaller club type situations and for larger venues and recording I use the CMK5 kit along with the DK25/L. I most recently used the CMK5 and DK25/L on the Sam Mosley record entitled ‘The Whole World’s Still got the Blues’.”

-Jason Palmer

“The first time I actually used any Earthworks mics was on a live funk/fusion club gig. I used the DK25/L setup. I was blown away by how many compliments I got that night on the drum sound — several musicians that were at the gig came up and talked about the detail they could hear in the drum sound- I’ve never gotten those types of comments before using the Earthworks mics!

I have to also mention the first time I used them on a session- I combined the CMK5 kit with the DK25/L on my kit. The engineer was astonished at how quickly we got drum tones with absolutely flat eq. The studio owner mentioned how they have never been able to get such a warm, clear, organic drum sound with such little effort!

I am thankful to be part of the Earthworks family.” – Jason Palmer
